The Daniel Lyon Trophy is the grand prize of the Putt & Pull event. It goes to the captain of the team that scored the highest combined score of: number of clays busted in Trap and the number under par in our Golf scramble. The key is: you have to have the same team of five in both Trap and Golf to qualify for the trophy. The winning team keeps the traveling trophy for the year between events.
The trophy’s namesake, Daniel Lyon, was a firefighter in the state of Washington who is now living his dream career in law enforcement out West. His father, Daniel Lyon Sr., comes to our event each year to fire his cannon and get things kicked off. The trophy symbolizes, as Daniel Jr. does, the toughness of a leader and champion.

Rules:
- Teams of 5 players must compete in TRAP and GOLF events
- All 5 players must be the same in the TRAP and GOLF events to compete for the Daniel Lyon trophy
- Golf rules will be included in the Incident Action Plan, given to captains on the day of the event
Scoring:
- The scores from TRAP equal the total clays hit by the entire team. There are 250 possible points
- The scores from GOLF equal the total number under par over 9 holes multiplied by 5
- The total score of TRAP + GOLF will be the team's total score
